About

This is the course blog for the University of Toronto first year seminar course PMU199 Climate Change: Software, Science and Society, taught by Prof Steve Easterbrook in the winter term, 2011 & 2012. A major aim of the course is to help the students improve their communication skills. One of the course assignments is to write a blog post, and participation in the blog discussions also counts towards the course grade. We’ll be using the blog thoughout the term to discuss the topics raised in class. Feel free to join in the discussions. Criticism is welcome, but please keep it polite and constructive.

Note: The discussions are moderated, so be patient if your comments don’t appear immediately.

    Hi there,

Great blog and an excellent idea for an interactive learning process!
I am looking for the exact reference for one of the figures that I found in one of the posts. It is called Swimming in climate change, by Rebecca, and I am referring to the first figure with the map of the N. Pacific and the gyres and currents on it. On the title says Earth Times 2012 but with this small information I have not been able to find it.

I would appreciate your help! Maybe help me contact Rebecca to ask her?

    Thank you in advance,
    Niki
